Why Malcolm X Matters, Now

  • McCosh Hall 50 Princeton, NJ, 08544 United States (map)

Six decades since both Malcolm X's death and the publication of his autobiography, Dr. Eddie S. Glaude Jr. (James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of African American Studies at Princeton), reframes the leader not merely as a historical icon, but as a model for self-transformation and moral courage.

In exploring Malcolm's spiritual and intellectual legacies, Dr. Glaude shows how through acts of individual character and collective action, we can all learn to confront uncomfortable truths in turbulent times. This is open to all in the Princeton community regardless of identity.
