The COVID-19 Vaccine and the Black Community

In this critical discussion, Dr. Irini Daskalaki, Lead Physician of the COVID-19 Response Program at UHS, Professor Carolyn Rouse, chair of the Department of Anthropology, and Dr. Chris Pernell ‘97, preventative medicine and public health physician, aim to address the history of racism in health care, which has led to deep mistrust in the Black community. In this virtual panel discussion, we hope to unpack this history while addressing direct concerns and questions about the COVID-19 vaccines and Princeton University's rollout plan for the vaccine.
