Join us for this historic conversation between Rev. James Lawson, described by Martin Luther King Jr. as “the leading nonviolence theorist in the world,” and Rajmohan Gandhi, acclaimed historian and grandson of two of the most pivotal figures in India's independence movement-- Mahatma Gandhi, and C. Rajagopalachari. These two remarkable advocates for peace and justice discuss the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi in light of the racial and political crisis that our country faces today.
The conversation will be moderated by Michele Minter, Vice Provost for Institutional Equity and Diversity, Princeton University.
Hosted by the Princeton University Office of Religious Life and Public Lecture Series. Co-sponsored by the PU Hindu Life Program, History Department, Religion Department and the Carl A. Fields Center.
