Cynthia is an Indonesian poet & author of Salvage, 2017 (Northwestern University Press) and current faculty at Bryn Mawr College. Her next book, Fire Is Not A Country (NUP, 2021), will address indigenous genocide in Indonesia. An organizer with 15 years of experience in movements for economic, racial, gender, and migrant justice, she is a founding member of Pejuang: Indonesian Coalition for Social Justice. She will be hosting a poetry workshop on how to enact political and social change through arts and addressing the role of Asian-American artists in combating anti-Asian racism.
