This workshop will dive into the power of symbols, icons, and art – and how the representation of our bodies may be used as a symbol of protest.  Using mediums like photography and videography, participants will reclaim spatiality both physically and digitally; by creating media works fueled by their personal stories. These counter cultural media works will act as stepping stones of empowerment and iconize the bodies of marginalized peoples for generations to come.
